DONATE A HORSE
Donated Horses Are a Valuable Part of Our Programs
We deeply value every horse in our mentorship program, whose extensive training and experience guide our students in leadership, confidence, and horsemanship. If you have a well-trained horse ready for a new role, donating to Heavenly Horses ensures they continue to teach through riding and horsemanship. Many donated horses are seasoned horses, including those stepping down due to age or manageable medical needs, sharing their expertise with our community. Your donation gives your horse a meaningful purpose in our mentorship program.
Is Your Horse a Fit?
We’re seeking experienced show horses to teach our mentorship students through showing and riding. Ideal candidates are:
- Well-Trained: Highly experienced in disciplines like dressage, jumping, Western all-around, ranch riding, reining, and other specialized disciplines, with a reliable demeanor suitable for varied riders.
- Good Temperament: Safe to handle from the ground and under saddle, with no significant behavioral issues.
- Suitable for Mentorship: Capable of showing or riding, even if stepping down in their career due to age or manageable medical needs, with training that students can learn from.

- Ownership Transfer: You’ll need to provide signed breed registry papers or other ownership documents, if applicable.
- Health Records: Provide current health records, including a Coggins test.
- IRS Tax Deduction Protocols: For tax deductions, you must follow IRS rules, including filing Form 8283 for non-cash contributions over $500 and obtaining a written acknowledgment from Heavenly Horses.
