Horse Play
Through our Horse Play program, we are able to help a wide range of clients, including individuals and families, youth groups, leadership clubs, first responders, veterans, active duty military, medical students, companies, teacher- teams, and many others. Our Horse Play sessions are custom created to meet the goals and needs of our clients. Our sessions support learning and personal growth, team building, relationship building, growth in areas of communication, dealing with challenges, and making changes when necessary. We custom-tailor our approach based on the client’s needs. Horse Play is like stepping outside of your normal day-to-day life and stepping into a judgment-free zone, surrounded by animals who give the most amazing feedback and connect on the deepest of levels. Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is our passion and comes in different forms for each horse. Some come here to rehabilitate from some sort of trauma, whether physical or mental that they’ve experienced. Other’s come with known illnesses and ailments. Often times a horse lands here after all conventional treatments have been exhausted. Helping horses with mystery illnesses and ailments is our specialty. The horses that can’t seem to communicate what exactly is wrong, but everyone can see something is wrong….those are the horses that end up here most often. We take a holistic approach to helping all of these horses. Combining that with western medicine and great veterinary care has allowed us to have amazing success. Rescue
We provide a place for unwanted horses to land. Whether they need rehabilitation, sanctuary, or just to find “their person” and the perfect adopter. We always put the horse first and keep their best interest in mind. We do everything we can to find them their perfect lifelong situation. Some horses in our program will stay here forever in our sanctuary. These are the horses who may require too much daily care and maintenance for the average person, or they may have experienced too much trauma in the past and aren’t safely adoptable. Horsemanship & Riding
From the very start of a participant’s time at Heavenly Horses, they are responsible for the care of the animals and facility. Every participant starts by learning how to groom, the nutritional needs of the horses in our herd, how to perform well-checks, how to tack up their horse, and the importance of connecting and bonding with the horse they are working with. As the participant starts to show proficiency in these skills, we invite them into a more in-depth program that includes riding and even showing in the future. They will also have the opportunity to learn Horse Hippology. This is the study of the horse. It introduces students to the science of horses including behavior, anatomy, nutrition, fitness, reproduction, and even how to judge horses at horse shows and for breed standards. An opportunity to learn all aspects of horse care, as well as caring for other animals. Our animal husbandry program builds skills that will carry participants throughout their lives. The Horse Experience
This is a chance to spend two hours with one of our horses learning ALL about them. In a private setting, we will teach all about horse safety, get a chance to learn how to groom the horse and the proper way to tack up. We will also provide a mini 30-minute lesson riding the horse. The horse experience can be tailored to the age/level of the rider. This is a great experience for birthdays, special occasions, or just a unique experience!
